Hellenic Hearts, a Philadelphia nonprofit that supports local Greek families facing hardship and helps young people with their education, marked its 10th annual gala on May 31, 2026 at Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square. The evening sold out at 200 guests, and we’ve produced this gala all 10 years. It moved from a cocktail reception to dinner and a formal program, including the presentation of the Philotimo Award.

Nothing technical in sight

In the main dining hall, a rear-projection screen lit by a 10,000-lumen projector served the program. All of the operations ran from behind the scenes, so guests saw only the finished room.

Every word heard

A sound system and wireless microphones carried the speeches and announcements.

One look across the property

Scenic and mood lighting ran through the entire property: the hors d’oeuvre area, the back patio and the main hall, so guests moved through a designed space from arrival to the final award.
