Modern Salon Boot Camp & Awards at Hilton City Avenue

Modern Salon brought its Boot Camp & Awards to the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue on October 25, 2026: a day of education for 150 salon professionals, followed that evening by an awards show celebrating the industry’s honorees.

One room, two shows

The morning was all about learning. We framed the stage and its lit backdrop with black drape and set two projection screens on either side, fed by projectors, so every session’s slides read clearly from every table. A sound system covered the room for presenters.

By evening, the same room had to feel like a celebration. Uplighting washed the walls and ceiling in pink and blue, moving lights added energy for walk-ups and winners, and the screens switched from session slides to the honorees.

Running the awards live

We ran the awards show itself from our tech table, keeping the honorees on both screens, the microphones and the lighting in step with each announcement, so the program moved from one honoree to the next without a pause.
